Today, I will be sharing tips on preventing hair loss which is a common phenomenon and concern these days, to both the young and the senior.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A bald head person definitely looks few years older than his age. Which is not the case we want&lt;br /&gt;right? Let's go through these tips if you are currently facing hair loss or beginning to experience&lt;br /&gt;hair loss.   &lt;br /&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Many of us lose about 50 to 100 head hairs a day. These hairs are replaced as they grow back in the same follicle. Although this amount of hair loss is normal, but if you’re losing more than that, something may be wrong. While bald areas are an obvious sign of hair loss, it can otherwise be difficult to tell whether your hair is getting thinner. “Hold a small bunch of hair between your thumb and index finger. Pull slowly and firmly. If more than 10 hairs come out, there may be a problem. There are ways you can potentially avoid the upsetting issue of hair loss.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Many cases of hair loss are genetic&lt;/strong&gt;. Get your annual checkups, and have your thyroid checked at each visit to make sure your hormones are in proper balance. Off course, men are equally prone to hair loss, so annual medical checkup will be wise routine for check and balance.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Blow-drying and heated brushes&lt;/strong&gt; can deteriorate hair loss, due to the extreme heat  that damages proteins in the hairs, turning them fragile and prone to breakage. Careless use of heated brushes can result in burnt and damaged scalp, causing permanent damage to hair follicles. It is therefore best to allow hair to dry naturally just as what I do. I won't blow dry my hair unless it is necessary.  If a hair dryer must be used, turn it to its lowest setting. Heat from dryers, curling tongs and other styling equipments cause serious damage to our hair.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;If your body is deficient in certain vitamins or minerals&lt;/strong&gt;, hair loss may be the cause. Even healthy eaters may not be getting the recommended amount of nutrients – that’s why it’s  good to take some supplements to make up for deficiency in vitamins.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Avoid using harsh products on your hair&lt;/strong&gt;. Keep tresses hydrated with a mild shampoo and conditioner. Don’t rub your hair vigorously, as excess friction can cause it to break off. It is important that you comb your hair gently when it is wet to prevent hair falling off. Back combing, for added volume or whatever, is also one of the causes of hair breakage. Always use a wide-toothed comb.&lt;/p&gt;If you are having hair loss problem, I hope this post helps in one way or another. Notice if you don't get enough sleep, eye bags form below your eyes, pimples pop up and you don't feel good and look good. But then, getting enough sleep doesn't mean you sleep 5 hours during night and another 2 hours in between the day. You should be sleeping 7 or 8 hours during bedtime at night so that you can accomplish and enjoy your activities during the day.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A good night’s sleep doesn’t just begin when you hit the pillow. The habits you engage in throughout the day can influence how well you snooze. Hence, for better rest, try taking these sleep-smart steps which I have been practicing effectively all these years&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;6:30 A.M. GET SNOOZE BUTTON-SAVVY&lt;br /&gt;Your sleep-regulating internal clock works best when you wake up at the same time every day. When I was working in the corporate, 7.00am was my wake up time, without an alarm clock. During some of the weekends, I woke up at the same time; 7.00 am and soon realized it was weekend. Then, if I had my schedule to accomplish, I would roll out of bed to prevent falling back to sleep. This is proven by a new study in the journal Neuron that the physical act of rolling out of bed activates brain cells that prevent you from falling back asleep.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;8:15 A.M. SOAK UP THE SUN&lt;br /&gt;A half-hour walk tells your brain to stop making melatonin, a sleep-inducing hormone. But leave your sunglasses behind because the rays actually have to hit your retina to send the signal. For me, I take a morning walk followed by breathing exercises in the park near my house after which, I will have breakfast and start with my daily schedule.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;12:30 P.M. MAKE A DATE&lt;br /&gt;Social people are better sleepers, according to a recent study from the Duke University Medical Center. Having frequent lunches or other get-togethers makes you more likely to stick to a schedule, say study authors, who believe that your body’s internal clock runs best when you follow a regular routine.&lt;br /&gt;I will once a while catch up with friends over lunch or coffee and enjoy ourselves by sharing our stories or views. This is even so when you have different groups of friends; friends with whom you play games with, friends from work, friends from neighborhood, social group and so on.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3:15 P.M. DUMP THE DECAF&lt;br /&gt;Caffeine affects our sleep quality and don't think that decaf coffee is free of caffeine, they actually contain some amount which has been proven by University of Florida researchers. In fact, a few cups of decaf coffee can add up if you drink after lunch. You should instead snack on some fruit or salad. The combination of vitamins, fiber and carbohydrates provides enough energy to get you through the rest of the afternoon.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;5:45 P.M. BREAK A SWEAT&lt;br /&gt;Exercising in the gym is good, but you have to know when to visit the gym because gym exercises raise your body temperature, which makes falling asleep more difficult. You should give yourself at least 3 or 4 hours between working out and lights-out to allow adequate time to cool down and have a good night sleep. This way, you will sleep better because you will be tired then after the workout in the gym.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;8:00 P.M. STICK TO ONE GLASS OF WINE&lt;br /&gt;Alcohol slows the nervous system, so a second round may help you feel sleepy initially, but when your blood-alcohol level drops in 2 to 4 hours, you could wake up feeling wired. Hence, just stick to one glass of wine for better health and better sleep.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;10:30 P.M. MAKE YOUR BEDROOM PET-FREE&lt;br /&gt;Do you have a pet? That perception is wrong...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Do you know that there are some fats that are not only good, but also essential for our well-being? These are called essential fatty acids;EFAs. EFA are polyunsaturated and can be classified into two groups: omega-6 and omega-3.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Scientists believe that an imbalance of these two fatty acids, which is caused mainly by a low intake of omega-3 can lead to health problems like obesity, hypertension, heart disease and diabetes.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In plants, omega-3 acids are obtained mainly from flaxseed, and partially from borage, a herb found naturally in Europe and walnut oil. We can also obtain these EFAs from fatty fish, where the main omega-3 acids are in the  form of  eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Scientists first stumbled upon the benefits of EPA and DHA when they observed that the Eskimos of Greenland were at low risk of heart disease despite a diet rich in fat.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It was then discovered that two of the fats they were consuming were advantageous to health – EPA and DHA.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In more recent years, it has been suggested that these oils can help prevent other ailments, like &lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;depression&lt;/span&gt; and &lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;cancer&lt;/span&gt; although the evidence remains inconclusive. Their potential use for inflammation, skin diseases and brain development has also been studied.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;People who suffer from certain skin diseases may benefit from increasing their intake of fish oil. Drugs that are normally prescribed for skin conditions can cause serious side-effects, but a group of scientists conducting a trial on patients with severe psoriasis found that fish oil did not have negative effects. In fact, several patients saw an improvement in their condition and the scientists concluded that fish oil may be a safe and effective therapy for psoriasis in addition to conventional treatment.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A large portion of the gray matter in the brain consists of DHA. Research has shown that low amount of DHA contribute to several neurological problems like &lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;dementia&lt;/span&gt;, &lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;memory loss&lt;/span&gt; and &lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;depression&lt;/span&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Appropriate amounts of DHA are especially important for pregnant and lactating mothers as DHA levels in an infant’s brain triple in the first three months of life.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Other studies have indicated that reduced levels of DHA result in a lower amount of serotonin in the brain. Your clothes should skim your body and not clinging to it.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Choose clothing that emphasize your good features and hide the bad ones. For example your should wear slim pants to accent long legs and use flared pants co hide wide hips. That's what I do because my hips are wide.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Choose colors that look best on you. By all means avoid shades that make you look pale, sallow or washed out, even if they're currently hot. Another tip is, if you haven't already known, dark colors make you look slimmer, in particular pants. Hence, if you want to looker slimmer and taller, go for darker shade.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Wear only your size. A dress which is too tight makes you look like as stuffed sauge. Oversized clothes are comfortable but they make you look sloppy and also hide your shape.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Buy on quality, not quantity. But how do you take them?&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Do you take them after your meals, if you do, then I wish to enlighten you how it should be taken.&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;Fruits should be taken in empty stomach, and not as a desert as is often done. Why take them in empty stomach? It is because this can play an important&lt;span style=""&gt; &lt;/span&gt;role in detoxifying your system, supplying you with a great deal of energy for weight loss and other life activities&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;Let’s say if you take two slices of bread and then a slice of fruit. As fruit digests faster than bread, it is ready to go straight through the stomach and the intestines, but then get blocked by the bread which is still being digested&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;The bread ferments and turns to acid and when the fruit, come into contact with the bread in the stomach and digestive juices, the entire food including the fruit begin to turn bad instead of the system absorbing the nutrients.&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;The effect of fruits mixing with putrefying food is the result of excessive gas and bloating! So you now realize why you get bloating sometimes. Of course there are some fruits like banana which cause bloating to some people irrespective of whether they are taken empty stomach or not.&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Additionally, grey hair, balding and nervous outburst, dark circles under the eyes will slowly disappear if you take fruits in the correct way as I mentioned.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt; &lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Fruit Juice &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;We all drink fruit juice most of the time, but by all means avoid canned juice as oxidation process will result in the juice having zero nutrients. In fact the juices we prepared at home should be taken instantly and NOT stored for more than 15 minutes. Another reminder is, cooked fruits will NOT provide you with any nutrients as the cooking process destroy all nutrients from the fruits. &lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt; &lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Fruit Juice or Whole Fruit?&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;There are pros and cons of taking either fruit juices or whole fruit;&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;Taking whole fruit which includes the pulp will provide you with the fiber for easing your digestion and bowel system, which is an important way of clearing toxin from your body everyday.&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;Taking fruits juice will allow your body to absorb more of the nutrients of the fruits. For instance, you can drink a glass of apple juice from three apples but you definitely can’t eat three apples at one go. But a good way to drink fruit juice is to include pulp in your juice, with this, you avoid problem of digestion.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;For me, I go for two. I will have a glass of fruits and vegetables juice in the morning for the instant nutrients to boost my body for the day.&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;In the evening, about an hour before meal, I will take one to two serving of fruits before my dinner. This not only provides me with the nutrients but the necessary enzymes and fiber to help my digestion system. As it is, I never have problem with toilet habits early in the morning. In fact, I visit toilet at least three times a day, because I have three meals and all the residues from the meals have to be discharged everyday.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Detoxification    &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;A 3-day “fruit fast” is a very simple and effective way to cleanse and detoxify your body once in a while, say every few weeks or six months, depending on your commitment and convenience.&lt;/p&gt;Just take fruits and drink fruits juice throughout the 3 days, with different fruits varieties and occasionally with some salad. This means forgetting about your usual meals. After the detoxification program, you will be surprised when your friends compliment how radiant you look now! Some of us are however quite doubtful about what should be the healthy lifestyle; like what we should be eating and what we should not. I have covered some areas of certain food to avoid; like avoiding excessive coffee, alcohol, salt in my earlier posts. Here I wish to highlight further on weight-watching and day to day diet to go for.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here are the healthy facts for us:-&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. Weight Control - Excess weight creates risk irrespective of whether your level of blood pressure and cholesterol are good because carrying around extra pound can increase your risk of heart disease by as much as 45%.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2. Healthy Lifestyle For A Healthy Heart. Not smoking, drinking in moderation, maintaining a healthy weight, exercising regularly and eating right help to reduce risk of heart disease. For people who takes medication for controlling high blood pressure or high cholesterol, cultivating these healthy habits will also reduce risk, although by a lower percentage.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3. Maintain Healthy Diet - It may be the same old  stories, but I would still want to remind that diet which consists more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains will reduce risk for age-related macular degeneration (ARMD) by 35%. ARMD affects millions of people worldwide and is the leading cause of blindness in older adults.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;4. Avoid Fatty Meal - Research showed that a high fat meal has a negative impact on our health for up to six hours after eating. However, if you take a brisk walk after a meal, you can reduct some of the risk of over eating this fat. But my best advice is to avoid them by all means.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;5. Reduce Salt Intake - Because you have developed a greater sensitivity to sodium as you get older, cutting down on salt is even more important in keeping your blood pressure down and by that means, avoiding processed foods as they contain one of the highest level of salt.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;6. Eat Salad The Healthy Way - Salad is a healthy diet, but go easy on the dressing. A recent study showed that those adults who ate more salad had higher blood concentrations of folic acid (a B vitamin), vitamins A and E, alpha and beta carotene (which can be converted to vitamin A), and the antioxidant lycopene.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;7. Pomegranate Caution - Antioxidant-rich pomegranate juice can interfere with blood pressure medications, anti-depressants, AID drugs, and some narcotic pain relievers. If you take medication and drink pomegranate juice regularly, you should seek advice from your doctor.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;8. Drink More Water and Tea - Water replaces fluid. Drinking tea not only replaces fluid but it also contains high antioxidants, in particular green tea which I have written quite extensively in my previous post. As you get on a habit to drink green tea, whether it is the Chinese or Japanese one, a cup after your meal will help with digestion of your meal too.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;9. Think Before You Order Your Meal - It is also healthy to eat home-cooked food, even simple dishes with lots of greens will provides you with the necessary nutrients your body need. It is therefore important to maintain good lifestyle by eating healthy and have sufficient rest. Too much medication adds burden to our liver.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=";font-size:130%;color:black;"  &gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=";font-size:130%;color:black;"  &gt;6.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=";font-size:130%;color:black;"  &gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=";font-size:130%;color:black;"  &gt;Consuming too much preservatives, additives, food coloring,&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=";font-size:130%;color:black;"  &gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=";font-size:130%;color:black;"  &gt;and artificial also add burden to our liver.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:times new roman;font-size:130%;"  &gt;It is also important to note that the use of cooking oil in preparing or frying of foods should be controlled. Whilst we should use less of cooking oil, recycled oil should also be avoided. I personally prefer olive oil for preparing food and salad. Grape seed oil together with some nuts and sunflower seeds are great for my salad too.I try avoiding deep fried food although occasionally I do go for deep fried fish, but most of the time, steam fish is my favorite, all because of preserving nutrients and an ease for body organs to handle the filtering, digestion and absorption.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal"  style="margin-bottom: 12pt;font-family:times new roman;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;Let's also see how our organs work according to time:-&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal"  style="margin-bottom: 12pt;font-family:times new roman;"&gt;&lt;span style=";font-size:130%;color:black;"  &gt;Evening at&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=";font-size:130%;color:black;"  &gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=";font-size:130%;color:black;"  &gt;9 - 11pm:&lt;br /&gt;This is the time for eliminating unnecessary/toxic chemicals (detoxification) from the antibody system (lymph nodes).&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=";font-size:130%;color:black;"  &gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=";font-size:130%;color:black;"  &gt;This time duration should be spent by relaxing or listening to music. If during this time we are still in working hard in the office or house chore, it will affect our health badly.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=";font-size:130%;color:black;"  &gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=";font-size:130%;color:black;"  &gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=";font-size:130%;color:black;"  &gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=";font-size:130%;color:black;"  &gt;Evening at&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=";font-size:130%;color:black;"  &gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=";font-size:130%;color:black;"  &gt;11pm - 1am:&lt;br /&gt;This the detoxification process in the liver, and ideally should be done in a deep sleep state.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=";font-size:130%;color:black;"  &gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal"  style="margin-bottom: 12pt;font-family:times new roman;"&gt;&lt;span style=";font-size:130%;color:black;"  &gt;Early morning&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=";font-size:130%;color:black;"  &gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=";font-size:130%;color:black;"  &gt;1 - 3am:&lt;br /&gt;This is detoxification process in the gall, and should ideally be done in a deep sleep state.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=";font-size:130%;color:black;"  &gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=";font-size:130%;color:black;"  &gt;Early morning&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=";font-size:130%;color:black;"  &gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=";font-size:130%;color:black;"  &gt;3 - 5am:&lt;br /&gt;These hours are for detoxification in the lungs and it may sometimes be a severe cough for cough sufferers during this time. So please stay tuned with me because I am going to share how life can be so simple, yet healthy and enjoyable enough to make us happy and young ultimately.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In the morning, I will usually be up from bed by about 8.00 am and I will have one sachet of bifidobacteria, which is friendly bacteria that provide conductive intestinal environment with healthy microflora for our optimum immune function.  I regard friendly bacteria important to defend our immune system better.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I then head  straight for my morning walk and exercise in the park near my house and it is usually a brisk walk for about 20 minutes, followed by some breathing and stretching exercises.  Sometimes I do some chiqong  if I am not rushing for time and by 9.00 am, I  would have finished and get back home for take my favorite manuka honey with royal jelly and propolis with a full glass of water before any other food or breakfast. Honey and its supplementary products are great nutrition especially early in the morning when our system is empty and hungry for nutrition and water. The essential of water is not the topic of today, so I will not be elaborating further.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My breakfast is usually some cereal or two pieces of toast. While having breakfast, I would glance through the newspaper and catch up with some financial and global news from CNN and Bloomberg.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;By 11.00 am, I would have finished with the news and wash up and start sitting in front of my laptop to write my favorite articles or preparing materials for project work or any other job that comes along. By lunch, which I usually have simple meal like pasta or fried rice or even salad, I will take a break. I like going to driving range to hit some golf balls, if I am not going to the golf course for a golf game, which is normally once or twice a week. I am very passionate about golfing and this helps to keep me going for the day. As I reside between Sydney and Malaysia, my golf game will be either in one of this places. Of course I prefer to play in Sydney, all for the beautiful cool weather except winter. Irrespective of the condition of weather, I must have sunblock on my face, neck, arms and hands before I head off for the game. I also wear my favorite hat for further protection.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If I am not golfing, I would like to visit to drop in to see my mum. My mum is over seventies and I  would like to see her as often as possible . Sometimes, we  would go for lunch, on other time, I would just have a chat with her. I enjoy bonding and spending time with my loved ones as it  leaves me with precious memory, now and future.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I would also like to meet up with friends once a while over lunch or coffee. Meeting friends is the best time to catch up with the latest development, be it the latest trend, family matters, sharing parenting skill or plan for holiday. The list is endless. As we progress to midlife, we value friendship more in particular those friends whom we have built over the years. But before meeting my friends, I would like to do a makeover. I like to at least have lipstick on, makeup for the eyes and protection for the skin. Looking good is important for me because it makes me feel good about myself, more confident, and of course to stay attractive even at this age!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;By early evening, I will normally cook for dinner if I don't go for a game of golf. And cooking dinner is simple enough for a small family of mine; me and my husband. I don't cook well and not too passionate about cooking but I make sure I have a dish of meat and plenty of vegetables, which are stir fried. We would take time to enjoy our dinner, chewing and  enjoying every bite of it.  It is my habit to have a small serving but with plenty of vegetables and greens.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Evening is rather quiet, I will normally watch a movie and continue with some late TV news or live golf tournament on TV  before I continue with my desk work. If there is golf tournament to watch, it can stretch for hours and that could be till the end of my evening. I wish to stress that cultivate at least one favorite game is important because that will help us to get away from our work and stress. Playing game with your friends allows you to catch up with friends and games with your family helps to foster better bonding. You may not have a favorite game now but it is never too late to start one. I started playing golf only about five years ago.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If I am not watching golf, posting blog is my favorite during evening when it is most quiet at night and also I would have new articles I wish to share for the day. Depending on how energetic I am for the day, my bed time can be as late as past midnight though I have been trying hard to keep to 11.00pm.  At times  when I started writing, I would find difficulty to stop at 11.00pm.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Before tiring for the night, a spoonful of raw honey in warm glass of water is my favorite as serves the benefit of; nutrients and enhancing my sleep.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Before I end this post, I wish to share with you some bad habits to avoid in order to maintain a healthy brain.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;u  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span style="color:black;"&gt;BRAIN DAMAGING HABITS&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Tahoma;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Tahoma;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;1. No Breakfast&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Tahoma;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;If we don't take breakfast, we are going to have a lower blood sugar level which &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;leads to an insufficient supply of nutrients to the brain causing brain &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;degeneration.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Tahoma;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;2. Overeating&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Tahoma;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;Overeating causes hardening of the brain arteries, leading to a decrease in mental power.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Tahoma;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;3. Smoking&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Tahoma;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;Smoking causes multiple brain shrinkage and may lead to Alzheimer disease.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Tahoma;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;4. High Sugar consumption&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Tahoma;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;Too much sugar will interrupt the absorption of proteins and nutrients causing&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Tahoma;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;&lt;br /&gt;malnutrition and may interfere with brain development.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Tahoma;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;5. Air Pollution&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Tahoma;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;Our brain is the largest oxygen consumer in our body. Inhaling polluted air decreases the supply of oxygen to the brain, bringing about a decrease in brain efficiency.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Tahoma;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;6. Sleep Deprivation&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Tahoma;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;Sleep allows our brain to rest. Long term deprivation from sleep will accelerate the death of brain cells.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Tahoma;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;7. Head covered while sleeping&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Tahoma;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;Sleeping with the head covered, increases the concentration of carbon dioxide and decrease concentration of oxygen that may lead to brain damaging effects.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Tahoma;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;8. Working your brain during illness&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Tahoma;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;Working hard or studying with sickness may lead to a decrease in effectiveness of the brain as well as damage the brain.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Tahoma;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;9. Lacking in stimulating thoughts&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Tahoma;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;Thinking is the best way to train our brain, lacking in brain stimulation thoughts may cause brain shrinkage.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Tahoma;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;color:black;"   &gt;10. Stress management is therefore important so that we can perform better at work and at the same time maintaining our health.&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Here are some simple tips to manage your stress:-&lt;/p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;   &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;BREATHING EXERCISES&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;ul style="margin-top: 0in;" type="disc"&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style=""&gt;This      is done in your comfortable seated position or in “corpse pose”&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style=""&gt;Exhale      completely with a sigh to reset diaphragm&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style=""&gt;Inhale      slowly &amp;amp; deeply through nose. Allow stomach to expand like a balloon&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style=""&gt;Hold      breath; exhale slowly through nose, squeezing out all the stale air&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style=""&gt;Repeat      for 5 times or more&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;This simple breathing exercise allows you to breath in some fresh air, especially if you do it in the park, in standing position, where there are plenty of greens. &lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;o:p&gt; &lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;UPPER BODY STRETCHES&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt; &lt;/o:p&gt;Standing      straight, lift your head up and stretch your neck. Slowly breathe in      deeply through your nose, pulling it down deep into your lungs&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;ul style="margin-top: 0in;" type="disc"&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style=""&gt;Slowly      exhale while turning your head to the right and then left. Dip your head      and return to looking straight ahead&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style=""&gt;Keep      breathing with this deep, slow pattern and slowly rotate your head      clockwise and then anti-clockwise.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style=""&gt;Take      your shoulders back as far as they will go. Lift your left shoulder and      relax it down again. Now swap and lift to relax your right shoulder.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style=""&gt;Swing      your right arm slowly in a full circular movement to free the shoulder.      Swing your left arm in the same way&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style=""&gt;Raise      and relax both shoulders. Hold your right arm across your body so      that you can rest your left elbow on your right wrist&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style=""&gt;Put      against your left palm with your forehead while keeping your right arm      locked. Switch hands and repeat.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt; &lt;/o:p&gt;Our neck supports our head, this simple exercise helps to strengthen our neck for better support.&lt;/p&gt;      &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;o:p&gt; &lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;WAIST&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;o:p&gt; &lt;/o:p&gt;Stand      with your feet a shoulder-width apart, bend to the left, reaching slightly      down and out as you can with your left arm. Your right hand remains on      your hip. Do 10 times and then repeat with the right side.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;  &lt;ul style="margin-top: 0in;" type="disc"&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style=""&gt;Now,      place your hands on your hips and bend them at the elbows so that your      forearms are directly in front of your chest. Keeping your hips straight,      move from the waist, twisting 10 times to the left and 10 times to the      right.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style=""&gt;Then      try alternating, pausing in the forward position between each twist.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;      &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;o:p&gt; &lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;BOTTOM&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;Lie on      your back, your knees bent with your feet apart, your hands clasped behind      your head or placed under your bottom.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;ul style="margin-top: 0in;" type="disc"&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style=""&gt;Without      arching your back, lift your bottoms off the floor. Squeeze your buttocks      with each lift and then release as you come back to the floor.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style=""&gt;Repeat      10 times or more with your feet apart and 10 times with your feet      together.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt; &lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;These stretching exercises are effective in relaxing your tensed muscles which accumulated over a period of stress. You do not have to do all these at the same time. Stretch your upper body and neck today and then waist and bottom the next day and repeat the process or you can basically focus on areas you feel more tensed.&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;I like simple exercise like these with consistency of 20 minutes a day and I find myself getting better-toned muscles. Isn’t this a sad story? And do you have one?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A vision board is simply a board which you stick the pictures of things you visualize you already have. The principle of this is: as you see pictures on the vision board day in and day out, you remind yourself and start working on your vision and eventually achieving them. Good right?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I experienced some of my success with this vision board that I feel it is a pleasure for me to share with you so that you too can practice and also materialize your dreams.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Just few years ago, I felt I was missing some important things I wanted in life. Although I had my career, I felt I wasn't living a true and meaningful one. I wanted better health, more attractive figure line, a younger personality, ability to maintain a good lifestyle and better bonding with my family.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I met up with friends over lunch and and I brought up the subject. One of them advised me to draw up my vision board. Not sure what exactly a vision board was, I asked, “what is a vision board” and she said, “oh it is a board which you write and stick up pictures of your vision and soon magic will come, simple as that!”&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I went back home and started to put up picture of a young and trendy lady. I also drew picture of myself posing a great golf swing because I had wanted to learn golf very much then. The other picture was my family photo having a holiday together. My husband and two children asked. “mum, what is that?” and I explained that was my vision board.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;First achievement&lt;br /&gt;Soon after my vision board was fixed up in my bedroom, which I could remind myself   before I went to bed and after I woke up in the morning, I found myself waking up forty minutes earlier than usual. I put on jogging shoes and shorts and started my first morning walk in the park near my house. The next morning, I persuaded my husband to join me and he did. I also started preparing healthier diet which eventually trimming not only my weight, but also my family. At the end of two weeks, I reduced two lbs and we felt much healthier.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Second achievement&lt;br /&gt;I engaged a golf coach to coach me on playing golf, and this set a fix time to go for golf lesson at least once a week. This golf lessons helped to trim my weight further. Within one month, I lost six lbs and I also passed my golf test with my handicap of 33 within three months, which was fairly fast for a beginner.&lt;br /&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;Third Vision achievement&lt;br /&gt;Having achieving two of my “vision” I was more motivated and I discussed with my husband who agreed we went for a holiday with our children. The moment an acne or wrinkles are formed, we will be very worried and try means to get rid of them. We may even resort to go for expensive laser to get rid of our wrinkles, open pores or even pigmentation.         &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;But do you agree we often overlook our inconspicuous body parts like our neck, arms back and so forth that results in different skin tone and texture.
